It's a beautiful, but cool day here.  I am currently working on a baby blanket for my youngest daughter who is just starting her 2nd trimester.  This will be her second child.  She suffered a miscarriage last December so she is being extra careful.  She is a Jazzercise instructor but is taking off for the pregnancy.  I love making baby blankets so this is right up my alley.  She picked the pattern and colors.  Yellow and white, so it will work for boy or girl.  When I get more along I plan on posting pictures.  We spent a wonderful 4 days with old friends in Las Vegas last week so needless to say no needle work for me!!  I have made 2 cloths, finished 1 and am working on the above mentioned blanket.  Also have a crochet skirt going for my 3 1/2 yr old grand-daughter.  I am still amazed at how much knitting or crocheting can calm my day.  It is the best medicine I have found so far to help me get through a very stressful time in my life.   I absolute join the ranks of those who I have heard speak of how de-stressing needlework is!   The cloth here is from the monthly dishcloths group I belong to on Yahoo.  I knitted it straight up left-handed without reading the directions backwards.  Lucky for me it worked out.

musing

Finished 2 more cloths in the last 2 weeks.  I didn't have much time to get any knitting or crochet in due to an awesome trip to Las Vegas to see some old friends.  Was like a mini-reunion.  We had an absolute blast catching up and having fun.  I had my laptop with me so I was able to show off a bit of my love of creating something with yarn.  I have been learning Tunisian Crochet and find it fascinating and fun to do.  Knitting and crochet is keeping me sane in a very stressful time in my life.  Things seems to go wrong in mass and I find peace creating something, whether it is to give away or to keep for myself.
